009 - Venom's Highway to Hell

After a slight delay in post-production, the MMA Podcast roars back online with an in depth coverage of the latest crossover event involving Venom, Circle of Four. The team offers up a slightly extended Pullbox Soapbox with a closer look at Ultimate X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Because of that, this episode becomes the longest podcast we've put out. Don't worry though, that's two hours of tasty morsels of wisdom and information. So if you don't fancy the flavor of brains like Venom does, dig into the latest episode of the MMA Podcast.  

To open the show, the crew covers gaming in the Quick Thwips as well as the return of Mad Men and Game of Thrones to television, and Shaun's love for Avatar: The Last Airbender. News (12:00) covered includes Marvel's latest digital comics service, Infinity Comics; Marvel's new Augmented Reality program; and we touch on some of the latest Marvel movie news including rumors for the plot of Iron Man 3. 

Comics covered in the Pullbox Soapbox (27:43) were: Avengers #24, Ultimate X-Men #9, Age of Apocalypse #1, Scarlet Spider #3, and Fantastic Four #604. Brian digs out another Throwback Pullbox item with Fantastic Four #374 featuring the new Fantastic Four team of Spider-Man, Hulk, Ghost Rider, and Wolverine. An alternate version of that team (Venom, Red Hulk, the new Ghost Rider, and X-23) is the main cast of our Storyline Spotlight (1:10:51) this time out - Venom: Circle of Four. Will all the heroes come out alive?
